Whether his attacker's plea of not guilty to attempted murder is successful is something that time alone will tell.

A point worth noting is that it beggars the imagination to think that such an attack would have been mounted by an atheist or an agnostic: even if they had read more than two pages of his work of fiction.

I think it fair to note that that other well known work of fiction "The Old Testament" has been at the heart of numerous wars, and none of those involved atheists or agnostics who were willingly taking part in those conflicts.

Muhammad Syed the man charged with killing four Muslim men in NM is also a Muslim. I know you are disappointed the killer wasn’t a Christian. But he was a Muslim. Haven’t you claimed Islam was the most reasonable of the Abrahamic religion? Yeah, that was you. When I stated Islam was a wicked religion, you defended them and asked me to stop disparaging the poor Muslims. Hmm….it appears Muslims disparage themselves.

Is it your position that Christians never commit murders or is it just that your cherry picking omitted to mention any.

The great fictions - Adam and Eve, Noah's Ark, the Tower of Babel - have ensnared the intellects of otherwise reasonable people and led them to untold harm to others. Muslims do not have a monopoly on doing evil unto others.

It is my position that people who are filled and lead by the Holy Spirit of God do not murder others. Have people claiming to be Christians committed murder? Yes. The Inquisitions of the Dark Ages were led by men claiming to be Christians and doing the work of God. But if you look at their actions compared to the life and teachings of Jesus, it is easy to see they are NOT following Christ.

Muslims who kill the infidels, rape little girls and wage war are following the teachings of Muhammed.

I believe the stories of Adam and Eve, the Tower of Babel, and Noah's Ark. In fact, I believe in all of the stories found in the OT. However, I have not harmed anyone. I have not taken a machete to anyone's head; I have not tried to crash a plane into a building; I actually encourage girls and women to pursue an education and to earn as much money as men; I believe in the sanctity of life, even life inside the womb.

For a man of a religion that promotes love to all men, you sure seem to be filled with an unwholesome hatred of those who do not share your belief. It may do you good to start to practice what you preach.

The Tower of Babel? Really? Your god was so alarmed that humans were going to build a tower so tall that they could peep into heaven and his only way of stopping them was to confound them by making them speak in different languages? Cor blimey, Mary Poppins, if that don't take the cake (to misquote Bert).

I do not hate anyone. I have repeatedly stated that. You have attributed hate to me because I take a stand against sin. I hate sin but I do not hate the sinner. You are under the misconception that because I disapprove of sinful lifestyles, I hate the person. The truth is I love people so much, I try to lead them to Christ so they can avoid an eternity in a Godless Hell. How you get "hate" from that, is beyond me.

God was not alarmed that the people of Babel could reach Heaven. He wanted to show them that man cannot enter Heaven by the work of his own hands. None of us can earn a spot in Heaven. Entrance into Heaven is solely by grace through faith in Christ Jesus.

And it is not my fault that your god seems to be a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic. You alibi for the Tower seems, to me, to be as weak as his.

The truth is ALL men are sinners who need Jesus Christ to save them. Muslims are no worse than atheists, agnostics or people who believe they are good enough to go to Heaven. If I have spoken any untruths about Islamic beliefs, please point them out. The things I have stated about Muslims are not out of hate, but in response to your claim that Islam is the most reasonable of the Abrahamic religions. I would love for you to explain how suppressing women from receiving an education is reasonable. IMHO, a grown man marrying an 8 year old girl constitutes pedophilia and rape. How is that reasonable? How is killing those who reject your faith reasonable? Inquiring minds want to know.

The fact that you reject my explanation of the Tower of Babel is not surprising. You reject EVERY Biblical principle. Again, you are demonstrating your adherence to your practice of Denialism. You are a fantastic Denialist.

Pointing out that these words do not support your explanation is not denial, just a dose or realism.

You seem to be confusing the practice of the Taliban with the faith of the muslim. You object when anyone (and it was not me) say that the inquistion proves that Christianity is evil. Really, it is not my fault that Yahweh appears to be two sandwiches short of a picnic.

You're in way over your head Bill. It has long been established that you are no Bible scholar. You are not the least bit qualified to interpret scripture. You have posted the proper scriptures, but you are unable to properly discern what you read and post. The people plainly stated (and you agree) they wanted to build a tower to reach Heaven. So God put a stop to the project because man cannot reach Heaven by his own works. I don't expect you to accept this because of your Denialist faith.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Taliban are all Muslims, correct? Aren't the Iranians Muslims as well? Hasn't Saudi Arabia (the heart of Islam) repeatedly been criticized for human rights abuses? Yeah, I think so. I'm still waiting for you to explain how Islam is a more reasonable religion in light of it's suppression of women, pedophilia and killing of nonbelievers.

I agree that Islam is not good, it is just not as bad as some other religions we are forced to face from time to time.

No hate, but straight truth that you cannot deny. I think we can put to rest the thought that Islam has any semblance of reason.

Now concerning abortions, they have been banned in several states after a heartbeat has been detected. There was never a Constitutional right for abortion. The Supreme Court seriously overstepped it boundary in Row v. Wade. As I pointed out RBG had concerns with the ruling. It is now back to States to decide if abortion will be allowed. Your claim that bans on abortions have failed is ignorant.

Attempts to ban abortions have been struck down in 20 States. Add the seven States where abortion is legal, and we have a USA where women's rights outweigh elderly men who say they know better.
